Antalya: Lara Pirate Boat Trip w/Lunch and Hotel Transfer

Set sail on the "Antalya Pirate Cruise Adventure" and enjoy a day of fun and relaxation. With exciting animations, a delicious lunch, and stunning coastal views, this pirate-themed boat trip is perfect for all ages!

Instead of the promised 15-minute transfer, we ended up traveling for an hour to the marina because the companies were arguing over moorings. We were left standing in the boiling heat for an hour with no updates, and in the end, the activity was canceled. We had to take a 1-hour journey back to the hotel, making it a complete waste of our morning.

The company didn’t pick us up from the hotel, despite multiple WhatsApp messages saying the driver was stuck in traffic. We were at the pickup point 5 minutes before the scheduled time and waited for 45 minutes. After that, we received a generic cancellation message. It seems they never actually processed our booking and just lied in their communication. I would strongly recommend avoiding this company.

We were recommended this trip as being perfect for kids (ours were 6, 7, and 9), but I really think it’s better suited for older kids or teenagers. I wish we had chosen a quieter, shorter boat trip instead. The pirate theme was what drew us in, and the boat itself looked amazing when we first arrived, so we were excited. However, it quickly became clear that the boat was overcrowded, noisy, and overwhelming for the younger kids. The atmosphere felt more like a party boat for adults and teens. I was expecting staff to engage with the kids, perhaps with a pirate show or some interactive activities, but the staff dressed as pirates only interacted during the brief moments when they took photos, which they later tried to sell us. After the photos were taken, the pirate costumes came off, and there was no further interaction with the kids. Some of the stops could have been shorter, as it turned out to be a long day for the little ones. It wasn’t just our kids who seemed overwhelmed—there were many crying children and stressed parents. The sea swimming was nice, but getting in and out of the boat was chaotic, with too many people crowding around and no staff to assist with life jackets after the first stop. Lunch was good, and we got to the queue first, so we didn’t have to wait. However, others had to wait quite a while. Several things were charged extra, like corn on the cob, which I thought was part of lunch, and face painting for the kids, which was advertised as included but wasn’t. While I’m glad we got to see the beautiful scenery, I would definitely choose a quieter boat trip next time, as the pirate experience didn’t quite live up to our expectations.

It felt a bit like a boat trip run by Ryanair—right from the start, it was all about the upselling. You’re constantly being asked to pay for this and that, which really took away from the enjoyment of the experience. It seemed like the main focus of the tour was selling extras, which was disappointing. On a positive note, you did get to jump off the top of the boat, which was a lot of fun. Just make sure to bring your own drinks and snacks, as things on board can get pricey.

The boat didn’t feel at all like a pirate-themed experience—it was more of a party boat for locals. None of the staff spoke English, which made communication a bit tricky. Everything on board was overpriced; we paid €30 for just two bottles of beer, one cola, and three ice creams. It felt quite isolating since the whole boat seemed to be Turkish, and all the music was in Turkish too. It wasn’t quite what we were expecting.

We booked this trip with friends under an all-inclusive deal, but we were surprised to find that many options had additional charges. When we were being served drinks, the staff seemed a bit reluctant to provide them, even though we had the wristbands for free drinks. The staff were friendly enough when taking photos, but after that, they didn’t engage with us, not even offering a smile, which made things a bit uncomfortable. The tour mentioned three stops, but unless one of them was to view the sewage in the water, there were only two. However, those stops were enjoyable, and the sea was warm and lovely. You could pay an extra €10 per person for a close-up view of the waterfall, but the main boat does get close to it anyway. While we did enjoy the trip, there was a strong smell of fumes, so I’d still recommend it. However, I think some of the crew could be friendlier throughout the experience. Also, the all-inclusive food should have more options for those who don’t eat meat or dairy, as the meal mainly consisted of chicken, cheesy spaghetti, cabbage, and bread. Corn on the cob was available but at an extra charge of €3.

We had a fantastic day out as a family! The boat had plenty of room, so maybe we were lucky to go on a quieter day. There was something fun for everyone, including a great swim stop by the waterfalls and another beautiful bay area. The foam party was a huge hit with the kids. We booked the Grande Ali Baba Pirate Boat trip, and it was incredible! My wife, kids, and I all had a blast on the boat. The animation team did an excellent job keeping the kids entertained with games, music, and dancing. The foam party was definitely the highlight of the trip—my kids loved it! The food was tasty, with grilled chicken, rice, salad, and bread. On the upper deck, there’s a bar where you can buy drinks, popcorn, slushes, tea, coffee, ice cream, and water. I booked the tour through TripAdvisor, which included transfers to and from our hotel. The price was very reasonable. I highly recommend this trip to any families with kids who enjoy boat rides and swimming in the sea!

This trip was amazing! We booked it on Viator, and everything was so well-organized from the start. Mini us picked us up from our hotel in Belek, and we were at the boat in just 30 minutes! The boat was massive, with plenty of shaded areas, and it was really impressive. The staff were fantastic! We got photos with pirates and parrots, swam from the back of the boat at two different spots, enjoyed delicious food, and had a blast at the foam party with great music. This trip has so much to offer! We even paid extra for a 10-minute speedboat ride under a waterfall in Turkey, which was fantastic! I’d definitely go again! :)

A family with two children, ages 8 and 11, had a fantastic experience on this stylish ship, which truly felt like a real pirate schooner. The boat was well-equipped with toilets, showers, open and enclosed decks. Lunch was included and quite filling, but there was also a bar and café on deck offering snacks at very reasonable prices. Throughout the trip, an animator kept the fun going with music (quite loud), dancing, and an exciting foam disco on the way back. A beautiful parrot entertained everyone by talking and dancing to the music, which absolutely delighted the kids. There were three stops for swimming in stunning blue water bays, where guests could dive right off the deck. Life vests were available for safety. The tour was booked online through the Excursion Mania website, and it was cheaper than booking through a hotel guide. We were picked up from the hotel on time and taken just 20 minutes from the Lara hotels to the dock of the pirate boat.
