Our first stop is the iconic Drina River House, a unique wooden structure perched on a rock in the middle of the Drina River. Take in the picturesque surroundings and capture unforgettable photos of this extraordinary landmark. This region is also renowned for raspberry cultivation, so we highly recommend the delicious homemade raspberry juice.
Next, we visit Mokra Gora Wooden Village, an idyllic mountain retreat designed by the acclaimed director Emir Kusturica as a film set. Stroll through charming wooden streets, breathe in the crisp mountain air, and immerse yourself in the village’s rustic charm.
Our journey continues to the Sargan 8 Railroad, a narrow-gauge heritage railway renowned for its scenic beauty. Step aboard and enjoy a nostalgic ride through breathtaking landscapes, passing through tunnels, bridges, and impressive curves, all while relishing the cozy atmosphere of this historic train.
Following the train ride, we will have time for a late lunch. We recommend trying local delicacies such as roast lamb or "komplet lepinja", a traditional dish made of warm bread filled with creamy kajmak and topped with two fried eggs.
Important Information:
From November 17 to April 1 (except December 21 to January 19), the Sargan 8 Railroad is closed. During this period, we offer an alternative visit to Tara National Park, featuring an easy hike to the spectacular Banjska Stena viewpoint. In case of rain or snow, we will take you to the center of Zlatibor, one of Serbia’s most beloved leisure destinations.
