Tarangire National Park, located about a 2-hour drive from Arusha, Tanzania, is one of the country’s hidden gems. The best time to visit Tarangire is during the dry season, from June to October, when wildlife is concentrated around the Tarangire River, making it easier to spot animals. The park is also lovely in the wet season (November to May) when the landscape is lush and green, offering an entirely different experience, especially for birdwatchers. However, keep in mind that some roads can be challenging during the rains.
