Tegalalang Rice Terrace is located about 20 kilometers north of Ubud, and it’s easily accessible by car or motorbike. The rice terraces are free to visit, though there may be a small donation fee to enter some sections of the fields. While Tegalalang is a relatively quiet spot early in the morning, it can get crowded, especially during peak tourist seasons. It’s best to arrive early to avoid the crowds and enjoy the terraces in peace. Wear comfortable shoes as the paths around the terraces can be uneven and muddy, particularly during the rainy season. Keep in mind that there are some steep areas, so take care while walking around. Don’t forget your camera, as this is one of the most photographed spots in Bali!

After visiting Tegalalang, take a short drive to explore nearby attractions in Ubud. The Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary is a serene spot where you can see playful monkeys and ancient temple ruins in the middle of a jungle.
