Overview

Your adventure begins with a convenient hotel pickup, where you'll be taken to the Siem Reap bike shop to meet your guide and receive your equipment. After a short briefing, you will start cycling through the backroads of Siem Reap, riding through Angkor Thom's ancient gates. These impressive gates, adorned with elephant carvings and giant faces, serve as the perfect introduction to the fascinating temples of the Angkor Archaeological Park.

As you continue your ride, you'll stop at Bayon Temple, where you'll be amazed by the iconic faces that symbolize the 54 provinces of the Khmer Empire. Each face, with its enigmatic expression, captures the spirit of the ancient civilization. From here, you’ll explore the Terrace of the Elephants and Baphuon Temple, known for their intricate stone carvings that showcase the Khmer culture and their architectural prowess. These sites provide a deep insight into the historical significance of the Angkor civilization.

The cycling journey takes you deeper into the jungle as you visit the Ta Prohm Temple, famously known for its appearance in Tomb Raider. The temple, surrounded by towering jungle trees, offers a stunning contrast between nature and ancient architecture. It is an excellent place to pause and take in the surreal beauty of the overgrown temples that reflect the battle between man-made structures and nature’s power.

A well-deserved lunch break awaits at a tropical garden, where you can relax by the pond and enjoy delicious local food. The tranquil atmosphere offers the perfect opportunity to recharge before continuing your journey through the Angkor temples. With the sounds of nature in the background and beautiful scenery all around, this is an experience that combines gastronomy with culture in a truly unique setting.

After lunch, the last stop of the day is the iconic Angkor Wat, the largest religious monument in the world. As you explore the sprawling temple complex, your guide will share its historical significance and the rich symbolism behind its design. The peaceful atmosphere in the late afternoon allows you to appreciate the grandeur of this UNESCO World Heritage Site without the crowds, offering a moment of serenity before returning to Siem Reap around 4:00 PM.
