Your day begins with a comfortable and timely pickup from your hotel in Amman. Our private, air-conditioned vehicle ensures you travel in comfort as we make our way south towards two of Jordan's most famous locations: Petra and Wadi Rum. The drive offers beautiful views of Jordan’s desert landscapes, so feel free to take in the scenery as we head to your first stop, the ancient city of Petra.
The highlight of this tour is undoubtedly Petra, one of the New Seven Wonders of the World. Known for its stunning architecture carved into the pink sandstone cliffs, Petra is a treasure trove of history and culture. Upon arrival, your expert guide will lead you through the Siq, a narrow, winding gorge that leads to Petra’s most famous monument, Al-Khazneh (The Treasury). Marvel at the grandeur of the Treasury, its intricate façade carved directly into the rock. This awe-inspiring sight will leave you speechless.
From the Treasury, continue exploring Petra's ancient tombs, temples, and Roman-style theater. If you have the energy, your guide will take you to the Monastery (Ad Deir), a challenging hike but one that rewards you with panoramic views and a breathtaking façade. The entire Petra experience is designed to be as immersive as possible, giving you a deeper understanding of the history and culture of the Nabataean civilization.
After an in-depth exploration of Petra, we head south towards Wadi Rum, also known as the Valley of the Moon. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is famous for its dramatic sandstone mountains, vast desert landscapes, and clear skies. Upon arrival, you’ll embark on a thrilling Jeep ride across the desert, taking in the stunning desert vistas, rock formations, and towering cliffs.
Wadi Rum is often associated with Lawrence of Arabia, and your guide will share stories about the area’s significance in history. During the Jeep ride, stop for photos at some of the most famous landmarks in Wadi Rum, including Lawrence’s Spring, the Seven Pillars of Wisdom, and Khazali Canyon. The desert’s unique beauty, especially during sunset, will leave you with unforgettable memories.
To add a local touch to your adventure, enjoy a traditional Bedouin-style lunch in Wadi Rum. Savor the flavors of Jordanian cuisine as you dine in the heart of the desert. The meal typically includes grilled meats, fresh salads, and traditional bread, giving you a true taste of local culture. While dining, you may have the chance to interact with Bedouin people and learn more about their way of life in the desert.
After an exhilarating day of exploration, we’ll return to Amman in the late afternoon, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel. Reflect on your adventure as we drive back through the stunning desert landscapes of southern Jordan.
