Overview

Day 1:

The tour will begin with a pick-up from your accommodation at 8:00 AM. Before heading to the Angkor Archaeological Park, we will stop to purchase the Angkor Pass. We will then proceed to Angkor Thom, the last ancient capital of the Khmer Empire, where you will visit iconic stone temples such as Bayon (the temple with the many smiling faces), the Terrace of the Elephants, the Royal Palace area, the Terrace of the Leper King, and Baphuon (considered the largest Hindu temple in Angkor Thom).

Lunch will be served at a local restaurant, conveniently located opposite the magnificent Angkor Wat temple. After lunch, we will continue our exploration by visiting Angkor Wat, the most spectacular and well-preserved temple in the Angkor complex. If you wish to enjoy a sunset view, we will head to Phnom Bakheng Hill, where we will arrive before 4:30 PM to secure the best vantage point for a stunning view of the sunset.

Day 2:

Your day begins with a pick-up from your hotel at 8:00 AM, where you will be transferred in a private air-conditioned vehicle to Banteay Srei, also known as the "Ladies' Temple." This journey will take you through rural Cambodian villages, offering you a glimpse into the daily lives of the local people, as well as the chance to admire beautiful landscapes like rice paddies and traditional homes. We will stop at the authentic village of Phum Preah Dak, where you can learn about the local process of making palm cakes and palm sugar.

Next, we will visit the Banteay Srei Temple, renowned for its pink sandstone and intricate carvings, followed by the Beng Mealea temple, often referred to as a jungle temple due to its overgrown surroundings. After a day of exploration, we will stop for lunch at a local restaurant, where you can savor traditional Cambodian cuisine.

In the afternoon, we will visit two main temples of the Rolous Group: Bakong and Lolei temples. Our final stop of the day will be at Kampong Phluk, a flooded and fishing village located 21 kilometers from Siem Reap, situated on the Tonle Sap Lake.

Upon reaching the lake port, we will board a local boat to explore the famous floating villages of Kampong Phluk. Here, you will have the unique opportunity to witness the daily life of the families who live on the water, primarily making their living through fishing. The brightly colored houses on stilts are designed to accommodate the fluctuating water levels during the rainy season.

We will also explore the flooded mangrove forest surrounding the village, home to a variety of species, including crab-eating macaques. The village is inhabited by around 3,000 people. Lastly, we will visit a Buddhist monastery built on an artificial island before returning to your hotel in Siem Reap.

Day 3:

On the final day, we kindly ask that your hotel’s staff pack a takeaway breakfast for you, as we will pick you up at 4:40 AM for the sunrise tour at Angkor Wat. To avoid the crowds, we will begin with an early visit to the Ta Prohm Temple, also known as the "Tomb Raider Temple," where nature and ancient ruins blend in a fascinating display.

Following this, we will continue to explore several other temples, including Preah Khan (also known as the "Father Temple"), Neak Pean (the "Naga Temple"), Ta Som (known as the "Tree Temple"), East Mebon (a 10th-century brick temple), and finally, Pre Rup (a temple historically used for royal cremations). After visiting these incredible temples, we will drop you off back at your hotel.
