Overview

Day 1: Marrakech to Dades Valley via Ait Ben Haddou

Your adventure begins with a departure from Marrakech, crossing the Tizi N'Tichka pass, the highest in Morocco, offering panoramic views of the High Atlas Mountains. En route, visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou, a fortified village renowned for its traditional mud-brick architecture and as a filming location for movies like "Gladiator" and "Game of Thrones." After exploring the kasbah, continue to Ouarzazate, known as the "Gateway to the Sahara," and home to the impressive Taourirt Kasbah. Proceed through the scenic Skoura palm grove and the Valley of Roses, famous for its annual rose festival and beauty products, before arriving in the Dades Valley for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Dades Valley to Merzouga Desert

After breakfast, journey through the "Road of a Thousand Kasbahs," passing charming Berber villages and the lush Todra Valley. Stop at the Todra Gorges, where towering limestone cliffs reach heights of 300 meters, offering a spectacular backdrop for a leisurely walk. Continue to Erfoud, known as the "City of Fossils," before reaching Merzouga, the gateway to the Erg Chebbi dunes. Here, embark on a camel trek into the heart of the Sahara, witnessing a breathtaking sunset over the dunes. Arrive at a traditional Berber desert camp, where you'll enjoy dinner under a starlit sky, accompanied by local music, and spend the night in a comfortable tent.

Day 3: Merzouga to Fes via Middle Atlas Mountains

Rise early to witness the mesmerizing sunrise over the dunes, followed by a camel ride back to Merzouga. After breakfast, depart towards Fes, passing through the Ziz Valley, renowned for its extensive palm groves and picturesque oases. Travel through the Middle Atlas Mountains, stopping at the cedar forests of Azrou, home to Barbary macaque monkeys, and the charming town of Ifrane, often referred to as "Little Switzerland" for its alpine-style architecture. Arrive in Fes in the evening, concluding your memorable journey.
