Overview

On Day One, your driver and tour guide will pick you up from your accommodation at 7:30 AM. After purchasing your 3-day temple pass, you’ll head towards Banteay Srey, the most intricately carved temple in Angkor Wat, beating the crowds to enjoy its stunning details. En route, take in the picturesque views of traditional Khmer villages and palm sugar plantations. Afterward, you may choose to visit the Landmine Museum or continue to Phnom Kulen National Park, the birthplace of the Angkor civilization. It was here, in 802 AD, that King Jayavarman II initiated the royal “God of the King” Linga cult, marking the start of the 500-year reign of Angkor. The day will conclude with a visit to Kampong Phluk, a floating village on Tonle Sap Lake.

On Day Two, your guide will pick you up at 8:00 AM to begin your exploration of the ancient city of Angkor Thom, which includes the South Gate, Bayon, Baphuon, Phimeanakas, the Terrace of the Elephants, Terrace of the Leper King, and the North and South Khleang. Afterward, visit some smaller temples in the Small Circuit such as Chau Say Tevoda, Thommanon, and Ta Keo. Continue your journey with a visit to the jungle temple of Ta Prohm, famously known as the filming location of "Tomb Raider". After lunch, discover the Buddhist temple of Banteay Kdei. You will then enjoy free time to explore at your own pace before heading to Phnom Bakheng for a stunning sunset view.

Your final day begins early with a 5:00 AM pickup to catch the mesmerizing sunrise at Angkor Wat. After the morning crowds depart, enjoy some leisure time to explore this remarkable monument. Your expert guide will enrich your experience with fascinating historical details. Continue your temple tour by visiting Pre Rup and Banteay Samre, followed by a relaxing lunch. In the afternoon, visit East Mebon, Ta Som, Neak Pean, and Preah Khan. On your return to the hotel, pass through scenic local villages where you can stop to capture photographs of the charming countryside.
