From the start, the transportation was top-notch: the van was very clean, and we were always provided with cold water and cold towels after each stop. Our guide, Jan (who was born in January), was energetic, incredibly knowledgeable, and full of positivity. He greeted me with a smile when I was picked up from my hotel and kept the good vibes going until he dropped me off at the night market! Lunch was included and although simple, it was very delicious. While the entrance fees to some of the locations were a bit expensive, they were definitely worth it. It truly felt like a once-in-a-lifetime experience. We visited a variety of stunning locations, including a natural park, river, waterfall, shrine, small villages, the lake, and a floating village, topped off with an incredible sunset. If you love nature, this is the perfect experience. Our guide, Sotin, was fantastic—very informative, approachable, and fluent in English. He made us feel safe throughout the day and was always ready to take photos of us, which was a nice touch. You could really feel his passion and pride in sharing his culture and way of life with us. Just a heads-up, don't expect the tour to finish exactly on time—if you have evening plans, it’s best to avoid them. However, the reward was catching an amazing sunset on a boat in the middle of Tonle Sap, which made for a truly unforgettable memory. The floating village tour was shortened and spent in the dark, which was a bit of a downside since we caught the sunset first, but overall it didn’t take away from the experience.
