Overview
This customizable tour offers a unique chance to explore Slovakia’s stunning landscapes, with options to tailor the day to your preferences. Starting early from Bratislava, we’ll drive through picturesque regions like Nitra and the Low Tatras National Park before reaching Strbske pleso in the High Tatras. This glacial lake, the second-largest of its kind in Slovakia, is surrounded by breathtaking views, and we'll take an hour-long walk around the area.
Afterward, you can choose how to spend the next three hours of the day. The first option is a hiking tour from Strbske pleso to the Symbolic Cemetery at Popradské pleso. This memorial honors those who lost their lives in the High Tatras and worldwide mountain expeditions. Established in 1940, it features over 160 plaques and 50 hand-carved wooden crosses, making it a deeply moving and historical site.
For those seeking relaxation, the second option is to visit Hotel Permon, where you can enjoy Slovakia’s largest wellness center with stunning views of Krivan Peak. Here, you can unwind in various saunas and indulge in the serene environment (entrance fee not included).
If you're interested in history, the third option is to visit the Slovak village open-air museum in Pribylina, offering insight into traditional Slovak life. Alternatively, you can head to Liptovska Mara lake and spend three hours at Tatralandia, Slovakia’s largest aquapark, with numerous attractions and slides (entrance fee not included).
For the more adventurous, the fifth option includes an adrenaline-filled experience at the Hurricane Factory for an indoor skydiving session or a visit to the Upside Down House and Tatrapolis Fun Park (additional fees apply). Alternatively, enjoy a free mineral outdoor bath in Kada Liptovsky Jan. Afterward, we’ll make our way to Banska Bystrica, where you’ll enjoy a one-hour city walk before heading back to Bratislava late in the evening.
