What to expect when you book Alanya Boat Trip. During this tour you will visit the main touristic sightseeing like the Old Shipyard and the Red Towers. This boat trip will also give you a sublime view at Alanya castle from various angles. The fortress was built in the 13th century, but the fortifications date back to much earlier, probably the 3rd century BC. It’s really amazing how they managed to stay in such good shape over the years.
Alanya has got a rich history regarding roman occupation, emperors and pirates. The boat will stop at The Pirates, Lovers and Phosphorus caves, where you have the opportunity to swim in and around the caves. According to a story there was a connection between The Pirates cave and the castle. With this passageway pirates used to send girls, they had kidnapped, to the castle. This secret path to the castle has never been found. It’s said the passageway collapsed and closed the entrance. The phosphorus cave is named after the phosphorescent colour of the light inside the cave. The sunlight shines through the water into the cave which gives the water and walls of the caves this brilliant phosphorescent colour. The cave of lovers was used by lovers to meet in secret. The cave’s eastern entrance is about two meters above the sea. Also, this cave is said to have a secret passageway through the mountain which brings you up at the western side of the peninsula.
This boat tour is a perfect blend of sightseeing, history, sunbathing and swimming. The boat will stop near two different beaches, Ulas and Cleopatra beach. Every stop will last around 30 minutes. This gives you enough time to explore the sea creatures in the fascinating shades of blue waters of the Mediterranean Sea. If you are lucky, you might see dolphins and turtles.
On the way back to the harbour there is an animation program for entertainment on the boat. This includes a foam party with great music. We originally booked through Excursionmania, and Eric managed the arrangements flawlessly. Everything went smoothly, with tickets and updates provided ahead of time. The boat trip was thoroughly enjoyable, with a friendly and helpful crew. Lunch was basic but tasty, and the promised free soft drinks were a nice touch. Beer was reasonably priced for those who wanted it. There were four fantastic swimming stops, making the experience even better.
