The place was nice and clean, but the overall experience felt rushed. We were quickly ushered into the sauna for just a few minutes, and groups were moved in and out rapidly. The mud area was self-applied, and after washing it off, we had a very quick peeling session followed by soap foam that was applied and rinsed off just as fast.The massage part was disappointing too. A gentleman came in during the massage, interrupted it, and suggested a longer treatment for an extra fee. This disrupted the relaxation and was quite uncomfortable. There were no drinks offered, like the customary glass of water or mint tea, which was a bit surprising. Also, everything seemed to have an additional charge.Having visited many hammams, including in places like Morocco for less money, I expected a more relaxing and enjoyable experience. Unfortunately, this one didn't live up to those standards.

The massage lasted 15-20 minutes and was quite good, thanks to the lovely Indonesian therapist who was very kind. The return trip was fun—the car had great music, and the driver treated us to sweets and a fizzy drink.However, there are a couple of areas that could be improved.First, the Jacuzzi was a bit cold, and the water jets were oddly positioned in the center of the pool instead of being behind the back or closer to the body.Second, the changing room floor was very wet, which caused an older lady to slip and fall. While they provide anti-slip flip-flops, she happened to be barefoot. The staff needs to ensure the floor is dried frequently to prevent accidents.Because of these issues, I’m giving 4 stars. With a few improvements, this experience could easily be elevated.That said, it’s still a great value for just $12, and I would recommend both the company and the location for a nice experience!

I had booked a package for my husband, myself, and our three children for 11 am. I received an email stating that the pick-up would be at 11 am, so I questioned if it was too late since we were supposed to be at the hammam by that time. The response was that the timing was correct. Later, I received another email saying the pick-up time had been changed to 8:50 am, and I wondered if this was too early considering our 11 am appointment. Again, the response was that it was correct. So, on my birthday, we set the alarm for 7 am, had breakfast early, and waited by the barrier at 8:45 am, but no one showed up. At 9:10 am, the guard called the driver’s number, and they said they would be there in 10 minutes. By 9:35 am, no one had arrived, so the guard called again, apologized, and said we would be picked up at 10:15 am. Eventually, someone arrived in his own BMW to pick us up, and we were driven to the hammam. He explained the services included in the package and tried to convince us to upgrade to a 1-hour massage instead of the 20 minutes included, offering it for €20 per person instead of €35. Since it was my birthday, we decided to go ahead. The hammam treatment was efficient but a bit rushed, and the 60-minute massage was fine, though not the best I’ve had. The children didn’t get a massage, but instead had a chocolate layer applied. We were then returned to our hotel. Overall, it was a nice experience, much more affordable than the hotel’s spa, but with some hiccups in the process.

Unfortunately, there is a constant push to purchase additional services for an extra fee. At times, it feels more like a sales-driven experience. I didn’t get to see the inside of the spa. First, the payment didn’t go through the first time, so we ended up paying for the same package twice. We asked if we could come back on another date instead of getting a refund, but this request was denied. We paid twice the amount, €21, and the company was unwilling to offer any goodwill. Once you arrive at the spa, you can change clothes and store your belongings in a locker with a code you create.Everything is well-explained: you start in the sauna, then rinse under cold water, followed by a bath to relax (note, the water is a bit chilly). After that, you enter the Turkish steam bath. When you’re finished, you sit down and get a drink before someone takes you for the rest of the experience.During your massage, the masseur briefly leaves and attempts to upsell, but you have the freedom to decide whether to accept or not.After the massage, you’ll receive a face mask and can head to the common area where you’re served a cup of real Turkish tea.Overall, it’s a great and relaxing experience to start your holiday.

We were driven to the History Spa in Oba, just a short 5-minute drive. Upon arrival, a man explained what we would experience during the 2.5-hour visit. We started with the sauna, followed by the spa and steam bath. Next, we went to the soap area where we were scrubbed and soaped. Afterward, we relaxed and had some water. Then, we enjoyed a massage and facial mask, followed by more relaxation and tea. On the way back to the hotel, we made a stop and got an ice cream cone.
