The flight is available on a daily basis, and begins during the early morning hours. For your own convenience, transfers from and to your hotel are part of the price. Our professional driver will transfer you to the valley of Cat, which is near the homonym village, just 20km away from Goreme.
Cat valley is a great alternative to the famous hot air balloon flights in Goreme. This is because, the area demonstrates the same geological characteristics, but the weather conditions allow more frequent flights. In addition, Cat valley is one of the least known in the region of Cappadocia. Therefore, you can always find available flights in Cat, when Goreme is crowded and busy. When you arrive there, a short introductory briefing follows. The professional pilots will provide important and interesting facts about the flight, such as the safety instructions you need to know. They will then prepare the hot air balloon, and you can watch the whole process and take some cool photos.
As the balloon starts to rise above the ground get ready for an extra-ordinary experience. The Cat valley showcases a landscape that is similar to the infamous ones in Goreme. When you are up there, you can observe peculiar and impressive rock formations, and lunar-like landscapes. The valley is famous for having multiple cave dwellings and pigeon nests carved into rocks. At the highest point of this flight, you will also get the opportunity to witness a breath-taking sunrise. I had the most incredible hot air balloon ride! The pickup was punctual, and the balloon's takeoff was smooth. Watching the sunrise over the horizon and seeing other balloons was truly breathtaking. The close-up scenery was stunning, and we even spotted a cream and light brown fox perfectly camouflaged in its surroundings. Unlike the other balloons that only go up and down in the more famous valley, this one provides a unique perspective. The price is excellent for such a remarkable experience. Our flight to Cat Valley was canceled due to weather conditions, but they offered us the option to switch to Ihlara Valley. Considering that all flights were canceled the next day as well, it was a great alternative, especially since the third day was very busy and prices increased. The only downside is that Ihlara Valley is quite far from Goreme, so the transportation to the starting point took longer than the balloon flight itself. However, it was still a great experience. The balloon pilot made the flight incredibly enjoyable, and his expertise was clear throughout. Very professional—thank you!

The flight was incredible, but the transfer was very disorganized. The day before, they changed my pick-up time four times, and when they arrived to pick me up, they told me I had to be 20 minutes earlier. When I showed them the messages I received the day before, they didn’t respond. Personally, I would have preferred to do the flight in Goreme to witness the spectacle of 200 balloons rising, rather than just 3. However, the route and the attention during the flight were excellent.
