Once we were finally on the boat, the route changed unexpectedly to drop off another group north of the Bosphorus, which was completely out of the way, as the islands are located south in the Sea of Marmara. There was very little information provided about what to do on the islands, and no maps were available to help us navigate. Due to a cumulative delay of 1.5 hours, I ended up abandoning the group on the second island and buying a ferry ticket back to Istanbul on my own to avoid missing my evening plans. I would suggest meeting participants directly at the Karaköy pier to avoid the transfer issues. The ferry ride itself costs 80 Turkish Lira, so it might be cheaper and more efficient to go independently. Perhaps this tour is better organized during the summer, but overall, I found it quite disappointing.
