Abdallah was an exceptional and knowledgeable guide on this trip. He introduced us to the beautiful ancient town of Nizwa and its vibrant souk, where we enjoyed delicious treats like dates and halwa, and even had the opportunity to purchase unique items (I bought three bottles of pomegranate syrup and now wish I had bought more!). OMG, I absolutely loved this trip! From the start, our guide Mohammed sent a WhatsApp message in the morning to confirm he would be our guide and confirm the pick-up (which had already been confirmed the evening before by Gid Oman). The pick-up was right on time. There were only four of us on this tour, which made it even more special, and our driver-guide was fantastic—he truly made the day unforgettable. The tour was incredible: Nizwa with its fort, the stunning Jebel Akhdar with picturesque villages, and the meal included in the tour, which was by far the best meal I had in Oman! I loved this exciting and long day so much that I might do it again the next time I’m in Oman! ????

Nizwa is a must-see destination in Oman! During the visit to the fort, the tour guide doesn’t accompany you, giving you free time to explore on your own.

Our tour guide, Yaqoob, was very cheerful and helpful throughout the trip. I enjoyed the day overall, but I do feel it was overpriced. We spent a lot of time in the souk, which could have been better spent exploring Nizwa Fort. Given that it’s an 8-hour drive, I understand the higher cost, but I would have preferred more activities and less shopping time.

This was an exceptional value-for-money expedition. Saeed was an incredible guide, knowledgeable about Oman's history and culture, and he patiently answered all our questions. He also treated us to a delicious Omani-style lunch! We truly appreciate Saeed for accommodating us on such short notice and spending about 10 hours with us, driving through Souqs, Forts, abandoned villages, and hiking routes. The hospitality was outstanding. The activities struck a perfect balance between guided tours and self-exploration, and it felt great to support the local economy. Highly recommend!
