Discover the beauty of Oman with a 2-day guided tour from Muscat, exploring the stunning Wadi Shab and witnessing the majestic sea turtles at Ras Al Jinz, a journey to remember forever.
Day 1: A Journey from Muscat to Ras Al Jinz
Your adventure begins in the morning as we depart from Muscat, heading south towards the picturesque coastal town of Sur. Along the way, we’ll make a stop at the Bimmah Sinkhole, a fascinating natural formation featuring a turquoise lake that offers an opportunity for swimming. The journey continues to the pristine white sands of Fins Beach, where you can take in the beauty of the expansive shoreline before we proceed to Wadi Shab.
Wadi Shab, an awe-inspiring canyon gorge surrounded by palm trees, showcases the transformative power of water as it cascades from the mountains, shaping the landscape into a natural masterpiece. A 45-minute hike through this stunning canyon brings us to a series of crystal-clear pools. Here, you’ll swim through warm, inviting waters, moving from one pool to the next. The experience culminates at a secluded pool with a narrow passageway leading into a magical crevice cave. Inside the cave, a small waterfall cascades into the turquoise waters, illuminated by sunlight streaming through the rocks—an unforgettable sight.
In the evening, we continue our journey to Ras Al Jinz, where you’ll check in to your hotel or camp. As night falls, we embark on a guided beach walk under a canopy of stars at the renowned Turtle Sanctuary. Here, you’ll have the chance to witness Oman’s majestic sea turtles as they emerge from the ocean to build nests and lay their eggs. With a bit of luck, you may even see hatchlings making their way to the sea—a heartwarming and unique encounter with nature. Overnight stay is arranged at Sama Ras Al Jinz.
Day 2: Discovering Sur and Wadi Tiwi
Following breakfast, the tour continues with a visit to the historic town of Sur, one of Oman’s most significant coastal settlements. Sur is home to one of the last traditional Omani shipyards, where you’ll have the opportunity to see skilled artisans crafting dhow boats by hand. The distinct aroma of carved wood and the artistry of traditional boat-building offer a fascinating glimpse into Oman’s maritime heritage.
From Sur, we head north to explore Wadi Tiwi, a picturesque valley known for its charming villages and lush banana plantations. This wadi stands out for its unique blend of natural beauty and agricultural richness, providing a tranquil and scenic experience.
After exploring Wadi Tiwi, we make our way back to Muscat, reflecting on two days filled with unforgettable experiences, breathtaking landscapes, and deep connections with Oman’s culture and nature. This tour offers an exceptional combination of adventure, history, and natural beauty, leaving you with cherished memories of your journey through Oman.
