The tour itself was enjoyable, but the travel time was much longer than expected. Nearly half the day was spent in the minibus, which made it feel a bit exhausting. The canyon was stunning, though much shorter than anticipated. The Dwarf Cave was an interesting stop, and the visit to Alanya, including the cable car ride to the castle, was a highlight. However, there was a lack of transparency with ticket prices—the guide charged 350 TL per person, even though the actual cost was 245 TL. It would have been better if this was made clear upfront. Unlike other tours we’ve taken in Turkey, the guide did not accompany us inside any of the attractions. While the destinations were worth visiting, the long travel time and hidden costs made it less enjoyable. If you struggle with travel sickness, you might want to reconsider.

The gorge itself was stunning, but the water was freezing—around 10-12 degrees! However, the journey from Side was much longer than expected, especially considering all the stops along the way. The excursion description on Tripadvisor was misleading, as it made it seem like the focus would solely be on the canyon, but we made several stops, including a banana plantation and a visit to Alanya, making the trip feel much longer. The drive itself took about 115 km one way, which felt excessive. We had a brief stop at the Dwarf Cave, lunch, and then spent only 1.5 hours in the canyon, whereas the description recommended 2-3 hours. Afterward, we went to Alanya for another hour and a half, where the vendors were quite pushy. On the positive side, the guide, Alibaba, spoke excellent German and was very friendly. Would recommend if you don't mind the long travel time, but the experience didn't entirely match what was promised.
