The addition of a pretzel-style bread picked up en route was helpful, but the unpleasant location near a fertilizer manufacturing area made it hard to enjoy. The itinerary change was also disappointing. The website had advertised a choice between the museum or the church after lunch, but the actual options were the church or a drop-off at an unappealing café to wait for pickup. This change felt misleading and detracted from the overall experience. While visiting Ephesus itself was enjoyable and meaningful, the trip lacked the "wow" factor expected from reviews, particularly in terms of the guide's expertise and insight. To improve, showing the video at the start of the tour would have provided better context and set the scene for exploring Ephesus. She provided a clear outline of the day's itinerary, including all costs, such as entry fees for Ephesus and optional visits to either the Virgin Mary’s House or the museum in Selçuk. Nur's attentiveness was remarkable; she ensured everyone felt included, gave out small gifts, and radiated genuine passion for her work. The buffet-style lunch included with the tour was lovely, and the extra toilet breaks were a considerate touch. It’s hard to imagine the day being any better. However, my only criticism would be the last stop at a Turkish delight factory store. While the samples were tasty and the experience interesting, the prices were quite steep. I also felt a missed opportunity in not visiting the Temple of Artemis, even though it's mostly in ruins. For future tours, it might be worth considering extending the itinerary to include more activities or diversifying the stops, as we spent over three hours in one location. Managing the time a bit more effectively could enhance the overall experience. That said, everything else about the tour worked very well, making the trip around Ephesus enjoyable and informative.

Nadir was an exceptional tour guide, demonstrating extensive knowledge and a genuine passion for Ephesus. He was attentive, answered all my questions, and made the tour engaging and informative. I couldn’t fault him in any way. However, there were a couple of downsides. With a 5:30 AM pickup and a long 14-hour day, many of us on the coach wanted to rest during the 3-hour journey. While we were advised to do so, the guides talked for a significant portion of the drive, first in English and then in Russian. While Nadir kept his commentary concise, the Russian guide spoke at length and quite loudly, which was frustrating for those trying to sleep. The other issue was the lunch, which was disappointing. The quality was poor, and I found myself unable to eat, leaving me hungry for most of the day. Despite these minor setbacks, the trip was absolutely worth it. I’d also recommend paying a little extra to visit the House of the Virgin Mary, as it added a meaningful highlight to the experience.
