The pick up was a few minutes earlier than expected, which worked perfectly. After picking up our breakfast box, which I thoroughly enjoyed, we headed to the Blue Lagoon. There, we had a few hours to explore, which was plenty of time. Although I got lost on the way back, Nur was quick to answer my call and guided me back to the group within five minutes. Lunch was next, where I chose the chicken, served with salad, chips, rice, and bread—a filling and tasty meal. Afterward, Nur led us to the canyon, where activities like water rafting and walking in the water were available. Water shoes could be purchased if needed. We had an hour to explore before heading back to the coach. The only extra costs were for drinks, and while some people entered the water without shoes, I’d recommend having them. This trip was an amazing experience, and I thoroughly enjoyed every part of the day!

This was my first time in Turkey, and visiting the Blue Lagoon was at the top of my must-see list well before my trip began. Since we were staying in Marmaris, we decided to book with a tour company instead of arranging a taxi or bus. Tour packages often include meals and additional stops, and this turned out to be an excellent decision. After a short drive, we stopped for breakfast, which was included in the trip price. While I won’t mention the exact cost to preserve your bartering opportunity, I can confidently say it was an extremely good value. From there, the coach ride to the Blue Lagoon took about two hours. Once we arrived, we had 2 to 2.5 hours to explore. While that might sound like plenty of time, the sheer beauty of the lagoon makes you wish you could stay forever. My partner and I are avid snorkelers and paddleboarders, but we ended up spending the entire time simply swimming. The lagoon, fed by the Mediterranean, felt as warm and inviting as a bath—utterly perfect. Next, we moved on to what the locals call "the hidden city," a stunning valley hidden at the base of towering mountains, accessible only via a canyon road. Lunch was provided in a serene setting among the trees, with the option to dip your feet into crystal clear water though be prepared for a chill and the occasional goose passing by. After lunch, we explored the valley, which was breathtaking in every sense. The water was so clear and the mountains so imposing that photos couldn’t fully capture the scene. Reluctantly, we boarded the coach for the journey back to Marmaris. Though it was a long drive, the air-conditioned coach made it comfortable. The entire trip lasted 12 hours, starting early in the morning, but every moment was worth it. Our guide, Nur, was exceptional friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready to assist. Her insights added so much to the experience. This trip was an absolute highlight of my visit to Turkey, and I can’t recommend it enough. It’s an experience you won’t forget!

My wife particularly loved navigating Saklikent Gorge, embracing the adventure with great enthusiasm she absolutely nailed it! We also stopped by Buzz Beach Bar on the Ölüdeniz seafront, one of our favorite spots, and enjoyed some delicious cocktails. On the way back to Marmaris, we had the chance to taste some authentic Turkish delight, which was a sweet way to end the day.
