Overview

Pamukkale, one of Turkey’s most iconic destinations, offers a unique combination of natural beauty and historical charm. For those seeking a truly extraordinary experience, the Pamukkale Hot Air Balloon Tour is the perfect choice. This adventure allows you to soar above the famous travertine terraces, taking in breathtaking views while creating unforgettable memories.

Your day begins bright and early as we pick you up from your Marmaris hotel in comfortable, air-conditioned buses. The journey to Pamukkale takes approximately three hours, allowing you to relax and prepare for the incredible adventure ahead. Upon arrival, the excitement builds as you watch the hot air balloon crew preparing for takeoff. The process of inflating and readying the balloons is fascinating to witness and provides a perfect opportunity for capturing some stunning photos.

Once the balloons are ready, it’s time to board! As you lift off, you’ll experience the unparalleled thrill of floating in the air, with panoramic views of Pamukkale’s dazzling white terraces, the surrounding countryside, and the ancient ruins of Hierapolis below. The flight lasts approximately 45 minutes to an hour, offering ample time to take in the beauty of the landscape and snap unforgettable photos from this unique perspective.

After a smooth landing, your group will gather for a celebratory toast with non-alcoholic sparkling champagne. A certificate ceremony follows, where each participant receives a personalized flight certificate to commemorate this once-in-a-lifetime experience. It’s a joyful moment to reflect on the adventure and share stories with fellow travelers.

Next, you’ll reunite with your guide and head to Pamukkale for a guided exploration of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. While the entrance fee is not included in the tour price, your guide will assist you in purchasing tickets quickly, bypassing the lines. Inside, you’ll have three hours of free time to explore at your own pace. Stroll along the famous white travertine terraces, soak in the thermal waters of Cleopatra’s Pool, or visit the ancient ruins of Hierapolis, including the impressive amphitheater. This time allows you to fully immerse yourself in Pamukkale’s unique blend of natural beauty and historical significance.

After your exploration, you’ll enjoy a delicious buffet lunch at a nearby restaurant. With a variety of salads, starters, and main courses, there’s something to suit every taste. Please note that while lunch is included, drinks are available at an additional cost. Before departing Pamukkale, we’ll visit a local shop specializing in Onyx stone crafts and souvenirs. This short stop gives you a chance to pick up unique gifts and learn about the artistry behind these beautiful creations.

As the day comes to an end, we’ll board the bus for the journey back to Marmaris. The return trip takes approximately three hours, and you’ll arrive at your hotel in the early evening, filled with memories of a magical day in Pamukkale.

Doing the Pamukkale Sunrise hot air balloon ride was one of the best decisions we made on our trip. It’s an early start, but our guide Sonny showed up right on time with a great attitude, even at 1:30 in the morning. He was friendly, informative, and very understanding of how tired we all were. The drive was smooth, and the minibus was clean and air-conditioned, which made it easy to rest before the real adventure began. Watching the sun rise from the hot air balloon was absolutely magical — something I’ll never forget. The pilot kept the mood light and fun throughout. Later in the day, exploring the historical sites around Pamukkale added so much more depth to the experience. I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area. It’s a full day,

This tour was incredibly well put together from start to finish. Everything ran smoothly, and our guide was warm, attentive, and made sure everyone in the group felt comfortable and included. The hot air balloon ride was an unforgettable experience — peaceful, scenic, and truly breathtaking. Exploring the ancient city afterward added a fascinating historical element to the day, and lunch was tasty and satisfying. Overall, a fantastic experience that I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting the area.

The balloon trip over Pamukkale was really amazing, the views were absolutely charming. Our guide, Nur, was super nice and helpful, making sure we had a great time. The only downside was the bus. It was a bit small for our group of six, so the ride wasn’t very comfortable. But other than that, I’d definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area. The lunch at Tugba Restaurant was also really tasty.

We’re really happy we chose this company. We took two tours back to back, and on the second day, we went on the balloon ride, it was absolutely amazing. It’s something you have to experience for yourself rather than just hear about. The whole tour was well organized, from the transfer to the hotel and back, everything felt comfortable, calm, and safe. Our guide Sunny didn’t speak Russian, but it wasn’t an issue at all. He used an interpreter and even provided us with WiFi, which was very thoughtful. The balloons themselves were like something out of a picture, truly a remarkable sight.

We had a really great time on this trip. Our guide, Sunny, was fantastic. Incredibly kind and helpful the whole way through. When the weather turned cold, he even lent me his jacket, which was such a thoughtful gesture. The whole tour was well organized and definitely worth doing. The balloon ride was enjoyable, though I expected it to last a bit longer. After the flight, they provided a small breakfast, and the lunch later in the day was also very good. Just a note: the entrance fee to Pamukkale isn’t included in the tour price, and drinks during meals are extra, so it’s a good idea to bring some cash or a card. We also stopped by a jewelry making shop. It was interesting, though a little pricey, but no pressure to buy. I compared with other groups and found this tour to be much more reasonably priced, which made it all the more worthwhile. All in all, the day was smooth, enjoyable, and full of great memories. A big thank you to Sunny for making it so special!

We booked last minute and ended up on a private tour, which we really appreciated because it meant shorter lines and more time to explore. It was an early start but definitely worth it. Again highly recommended

The entire trip was perfect thanks to Karin and Katarina. They were very knowledgeable, professional, and made both me and my son feel truly welcome. The experience offered great value and was worth every penny. We started with a hot air balloon ride, followed by a glass of champagne and a certificate. Afterwards, we had a light breakfast, which was perfect since it was early and I wasn’t very hungry but needed a little something. Then we visited Hierapolis, where Karim gave us a detailed tour of the ancient ruins. We had plenty of free time and didn’t feel rushed at all. Lunch was a buffet with delicious food, and the wine tasting afterward was a great way to finish the day. A fantastic full day experience.

Watching the sunrise from a hot air balloon was truly unforgettable and absolutely worth it. Hierapolis was alright, and while Pamukkale was interesting, it wasn’t as impressive since the pools are all dry now. The city had a few nice spots, but overall, I didn’t feel it justified the 30€ entrance fee. If Cleopatra’s Pool had been included, the price would have felt fairer. Our guide, Kerem, was excellent also he remembered us from a previous tour and was both entertaining and informative.

From the hotel pickup to the drop off, everything was smooth and hassle-free, which I really appreciated. Our guide Karim was excellent very knowledgeable and organized, making sure everyone’s needs were met. Breakfast and lunch were buffet style, and the food was delicious. The bus was clean, with air conditioning and WiFi. The sunrise balloon ride was the highlight, and landing in the farmer’s field was quite an experience. This was a full day packed with amazing sights and experiences. Everything ran smoothly from the start pickup and drop off were well organized. Although the day started at 2am, the long coach ride gave us a chance to rest before the activities began. Kareem was a fantastic guide, sharing detailed knowledge at every stop. The tour included a breakfast box and a buffet lunch, both of which were great. Every stop along the way was interesting, and the hot air balloon ride made the whole day feel extra special. The extra cost for Pamukkale and cleopatras pool are really not that expensive because they’re very unique places to visit I’ve never been anywhere similar. We also got to enjoy a wine tasting after lunch, which was a nice touch. Despite the long hours, from 2am to nearly 7pm, I’d happily do this tour again.

The trip went really well and my family absolutely loved it especially the hot air balloon experience, which was incredible. However, there's one detail travelers should be aware of. When you purchase the Balloons + Pamukkale excursion, it may seem like everything is included, but once you arrive at Pamukkale, there’s an additional fee of 1,200 lira per person to actually enter the site. It felt a bit misleading and caught us off guard. Aside from that, the day was enjoyable overall.

Many thanks to Osman from mares travel and tours in Marmaris for organising our full day excursion. A long day, but so worth it. Hot air ballooning was on my bucket list, and it was an amazing experience. Thanks to our helpful and friendly guide Karim for looking after us and telling us the history of the places we visited. A suggestion I would make after hearing many of other guests on the coach would be make the cost of the trip inclusive of enterance fees and a bottle of water with the lunch and breakfast as this was the only negative comments I heard people making. I would 100% recommend these guys and this trip to anyone.

We went on a full day excursion, and it turned out to be one of the best experiences we’ve had. Our guide, Kerem, picked us up from Marmaris at 2 a.m and we arrived at Cotton Castle just in time to see the hot air balloons being inflated. The ride itself was incredible, with breathtaking views all around. I would recommend this to anyone visiting the area. After the balloon ride, Kerem guided us through the ancient city of Hierapolis. He was very knowledgeable and made sure we didn’t miss any of the important sights, even helping us take photos throughout the day. We also chose to swim in Cleopatra’s thermal pool, which was definitely worth the additional cost. Kerem was thoughtful and made sure we had enough stops for drinks and restroom breaks. Lunch was included in the trip and was served buffet style with plenty of variety. Overall, the day far exceeded our expectations. Kerem really made the experience special and memorable for us.
